My consolidated Facebook posts on the Charlie Kirk assassination

Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10th, which induced a flurry of Facebook posts from me. I've consolidated all these posts to date here.

September 10th:

A tyrant dies, and his rule ends. A martyr dies, and his rule begins.

September 12th:

Demon-fighting techniques for use in the world today

September 13th:

Let us take stock of ourselves.

The world is a loud and chaotic place, and we often end up outsourcing our discernment to algorithms and propagandists.

And maybe you’ve come to question that information matrix. Maybe you’re not proud of the things you’ve posted in the last few days. Maybe you’re wondering if you’re being lied to, why you think the things you think, or what the hell is going on over there with those people.

I think it’s useful to occasionally reset our perspective. Consider who you trust to calmly tell you the truth, without sensationalism or manipulation. Think about whose company you want to keep. Look for an independent perspective.

The practice of meditation and repentance is a time-honored spiritual practice. We ask God to search and test our anxious thoughts - to see if there is any offensive way in us, and to lead us in the way everlasting.

And if you decide to repent - if you choose to change your mind about anything - you will have the joyful approval of God, and glad acceptance from those who truly follow him.

September 13th:

Never underestimate the magnitude of the lies told by the enemies of Christ. Remember, the devil is the father of lies, and he even got the guards to Christ's tomb to say that nothing happened.

September 14th:

Your "cultural Christianity" is already "extraordinary evidence"

September 15th:

For those of you who think that Charlie Kirk deserved to be killed for his opinions, do you think that YOU deserve to be killed for your opinions?

The logic goes that since he was against gun control, he deserved to be killed by gun violence. The same logic says that since you’re okay with killing people for their opinions, you deserve to be killed for that opinion.

Now, of course, you’ll say “that’s not what I meant!” And of course not - you didn’t think at all, did you? All that happened was that your two brain cells lit up at “gun control” and “gun violence”, and the demons in your head fired up the connections and took over. You literally couldn’t even think one step ahead. And nevermind doing any probability calculations or cost-benefit analysis for things like gun control or free speech - who has time for that, when you have your self-righteous virtue signaling to do for your political masters?

So you went ahead and acted on your wicked thoughts. You went ahead and posted something that immediately justifies your own murder in a single step of logic. I’m not sure whether this is because you’re stupid or evil or both, so I’ll have to address the whole spectrum, by basically telling you explicitly what you SHOULD have thought instead.

You should have thought “hey, murder is bad”. You should have thought that “political assassinations = bad”, and “free speech = good”. And, if you are of exceptional intelligence for the population that I’m addressing, you should have thought “maybe, just maybe, this might backfire on me” - as it clearly has, not only in the court of public opinion, but also in being effectively suicidal.

After all, imagine that you win completely. You kill all the Charlie Kirks of the world. Everyone whom you thought “hateful” is now dead. Hurray! Now you live in a world where EVERYONE thinks they can kill you for your opinions! Congratulations! Are you too stupid to understand that this will lead to the slaughter of great segments of the population? Or are you actually evil enough to want that?

This is not some farfetched scenario. As I demonstrated above, it’s just two steps in logic. Furthermore, this has already happened in many communist countries in the last century. This is how you get those dystopian stories of people dying by the millions.

And, because the people who think this way are stupid and evil enough to lie about EVERYTHING, I have to be perfectly clear that I DO NOT want this to happen. I DO NOT think that you deserve to die for your opinions, even if they’re demonically bad. I am FOR free speech, and AGAINST political violence. And, if anyone cares about greater nuances here after all that, I do think that there is such a thing as “reasonable gun control”, and that free speech should have some very light restrictions - such as to prevent an actionable, specific call to violence.

If any of you actually acted on your wicked and idiotic thoughts, I urge you to repent. If all you did was to post or say something, you are not some irredeemable reprobate. I don’t want to demonize you. Exactly the opposite, in fact: I want to un-demonize you, because that is how I fight demons. That starts with repentance. Recognize what you did was wrong. Then, you can delete your post, and/or apologize to the people you’ve talked to. And then, purge from your life the things that drive you to such demonic thoughts - whether they be social media, certain platforms, channels, or influencers, certain people in your life, or other routines and lifestyles.

We have all made statements that we regret at times. None of us are without sin. Good people will encourage and accept your genuine repentance. And the path of redemption and healing is still open to us all - not just as individuals, but as a country and a society.

September 16th:

So they murdered a man who just wanted to talk, then celebrated it, gloated about it, and said that he deserved it for his “hateful” opinions. They murdered in their hate, then called the victim “hateful”. The hypocrisy!

So they’re lying. They’re not “against hate”, but are hateful themselves. We know they’re lying. And now, they know that we know. And if they can murder in their hate then still call the victim “hateful”, they can lie about anything - which they have, through every step of this story.

And because of this circle of awareness, we know and they know that they’ve lied. We know and they know that they’ve lost all credibility. We know and they know that they’re morally bankrupt. They’re completely cooked, at every level, all the way down to the bottom.

Now, they are a fairly small group. I’m not talking about anything like half the population, or even a quarter of the population. I’m only talking about the people that significantly participated in the hateful activities I mentioned above. If that’s not you, then I’m not talking about you. And my reproach is not even for the people themselves, but the demons that possess them. But I don’t know if I can help these people. I certainly wish for their ultimate well-being, but they may be too far gone, and their demons beyond my ability to fight.

But for everyone else in their periphery - for everyone who still cares about truth and goodness and can still listen to reason - please, take stock of your situation. Consider the people around you. Think about what kind of company you want to keep. Do you want to hang around people who think that a difference of opinion justifies murder? Examine your lines of financial, mental, and social connections, and take care that they’re not caught in the blast radius. The demons will shriek and convulse and become violent as they’re being exorcised. It’s how they react to being cooked to a complete crisp. So be very careful to protect yourself - physically, mentally, and spiritually.

And be especially careful not to become hateful or violent yourself: we must not become the very thing we wish to avoid. Becoming possessed ourselves would only make everything worse, and give these demons their only chance of escape or victory. Therefore be extremely careful not to fall into any hate or violence yourself in these troubled times.

September 18th:

I think that demons, who understand no truth but power, fundamentally don’t understand martyrdom.

They’re like, “we killed you! So we’re stronger than you! That means we win! That means we get to do whatever we want now!” And then, when there is blowback, and things don’t turn out like they expected, it completely shatters their reality. “What do you mean, we can’t gloat over our victim? What do you mean, that his cause isn’t dead? How could we lose, with our stronger power? That’s impossible!”

It’s actually pretty funny when you see it. And pitiable too, if not for the fact that they’re demons. But the people are still pitiable, and can still be saved - if they repent, and can learn to laugh at these idiot demons that used to possess them.

September 22nd:

So, we seem to agree that murder is bad, that it shouldn’t be condoned or celebrated. You don’t have to like Charlie Kirk or mourn him, but you cannot cheer or condone his murder.

This is progress. I’m glad that America realized that murder is bad. It is, after all, one of the ten commandments. Now, let’s see if we can learn another one of the ten commandments: to not bear false witness.

You see, much of the reprehensible reaction to Charlie Kirk’s murder came from the lie that he was “hateful” or “racist” or "misogynist" - you know the standard list of slanders by now. And even if the reactions didn’t rise to the point of condoning the murder, there were many that began, “I’m not saying he deserved it, but…” only to follow up with one of the lies.

If you said something like that and you were deceived in saying it, I hold little against you. By all means, you are entitled to your opinions, and I would only encourage you to look into things a bit more next time.

But if you were someone who really should have known better - if you have a large audience or are supposed to be some kind of a news source, then you are more culpable. You should lose reputation, audience, and influence as a result.

Lastly, if you knowingly tell these lies, then you are the worst. You’re worse even than the hateful people who celebrated Charlie’s murder. They, at least, have the excuse of possibly being idiots. But you are intentionally, explicitly aiming down, and you have enlisted not only your hate but also your intellect in service of your demons.

But maybe I’m wrong about Charlie - so let’s try this: let’s go directly to the source. Here is Charlie Kirk’s YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/@RealCharlieKirk/videos

Look at a representative sample of his work. Pick a video at random, and I’ll go over it with you - line by line, sentence by sentence. You’ll find plenty of them to be disagreeable - as do I. That’s fine. The idea that we can disagree peaceably is the foundation of a democracy. But you will find little that’s “hateful”, and certainly none that can remotely be mentioned in any kind of justification for murder.

September 22nd:

Many people are understandably worried about what happens now, after Charlie Kirk’s assassination. But I think that our future is not bad - ultimately quite good, in fact. So here I lay out what I see of our current status, what we should do going forward, and how it will all end.

First, I think that our enemies - Charlie’s enemies - are actually fairly few in number. By “enemies”, I mean those who participated in his murder to some degree - by celebrating, condoning, or approving of it, or by providing support or cover for it through their lies or other assistance. If that’s divisive, then so be it. I am against murder. They are for it. America is still a good country, and the good people here outnumber the bad.

Second, I don’t believe that anyone is totally irredeemable. Some of these people are currently having an “are we the baddies?” moment, and the conviction of their conscience will lead them to repentance. They will find forgiveness and salvation if they choose to turn aside from their wicked ways, and a warm welcome from the good people who love their neighbors and even their enemies.

In fact, Charlie Kirk has recently been compared with Stephen, the first Christian martyr - and if that comparison holds, our enemy's biggest worry is not Charlie Kirk, but the analog of Saul: someone who is currently one of their own, but is about to be completely transformed by a literal “come to Jesus” moment - who then goes on to be an amazing warrior for Christ, and will absolutely demolish their demonic strongholds that keep their people enslaved. In fact, I think they’re somewhat aware of this possibility, which is why they enforce such totalitarian thought control over the people they enslave.

This bleeding of their support - either through full repentance or quiet abandonment - will leave an ever smaller group with even more reprehensible views. This will go on continually - and although there won’t be a single cutoff, eventually the logic of “repent or perish” reaches the point where we must discuss the recalcitrant. The following is how it will go for them: they will lose everything.

First, they have already lost the argument. That’s why they assassinated Charlie Kirk, because they were utterly defeated by him in open debate.

Second, they have lost their moral compass. They reveal their complete moral bankruptcy in celebrating or justifying the death of an innocent man who was by far their moral superior.

Third, they have utterly lost all credibility, in their outrageous slander of Charlie’s character, and the ludicrous (and quite frankly hilarious) lies they tell about the assassin. It’s pretty clear that their whole modus operandi is to lie and lie more in the hope that their lies outpace the truth.

Again, all this should clearly indicate to them that they’re on the wrong path, and that they should repent. I sincerely hope they do. I really believe that people can change their minds. But if they continue, they will further face the following losses:

They may lose their jobs, their business, and other sources of support. After all, who wants to work with someone who would cheer your murder? Do you want such a person to be your waitress? Would you hire them as your mechanic? What might they do to you, if they decided that you were “hateful” for whatever reason? We all need to protect ourselves from such people.

They will lose their political power. Their once fearsome stranglehold over the media have been broken, and their propaganda outlets are absolute jokes now. They’ve already lost the last election, which was won by Charlie Kirk’s allies - and they’re likely to lose many more in the future. After all, how could Charlie’s death do anything but galvanize his allies? And who could vote for anyone who says or even hints that they’ll kill you if you disagree with them?

They will lose their courage. After all, many of them believe in political power as their god, and losing it will turn their hearts into sand and their legs into noodles. And cowardice is contagious, especially when they begin to face this next loss.

They will lose their freedom, through the perfectly legal and righteous enforcement of the existing laws. After Charlie’s assassination, things like intimidation, death threats, and incitement to violence must necessarily carry a lower threshold for conviction - because all such things are now actually more credible. People should, and will, go to jail for such crimes, and it is again Charlie’s allies that have the power of law enforcement and a renewed conviction to carry out their duty.

Again, I hope they repent and turn back from this destructive path. I believe that many of them will, at different points in this list of losses. I do not intend for this list to imply inevitability. At the level of the individual, I believe that each one of us has the capacity to repent and change.

But for those who still do not repent, they will furthermore lose any hope of historical vindication. They will go down as the murderous hateful lying hypocrites they are, as a matter of historical record. Their violent riots and destructive “protests” will contrast sharply with the peaceful vigils for Charlie’s tragic death, and all will know who the “good guys” and “bad guys” are.

Furthermore, the demographic trajectory of their cause is heading towards extinction. Charlie was for life - for getting married, raising children, and leaving a legacy. His enemies, by contrast, are for aborting their babies, mutilating their genitals, and dying single and alone. Their passing will not be mourned - neither by their cats nor by history.

And if, after all this, and seeing the certainty of their loss, they still choose not to repent, they may do something truly evil and idiotic - like dramatically escalating their violence to a civil war. But again, they will lose. They have nothing. Charlie's side has the youth, the men, the guns, and every branch of government. And above all, his side has the morally righteous cause. After all, what do you expect when your casus belli is “I get to kill people who disagree with me?” If it comes to a war, it will be an absolute curb stomp.

So, they’re cooked. Completely cooked, at every level, through every path. Multi-dimensionally cooked, in manifold ways, to a complete crisp that hardly leaves smoke or ash. They must repent, or perish.

So given all that, what should we do?

We’ve won. Charlie’s death ensures that. But that doesn’t mean that we’re out of danger yet. We must protect ourselves, constrain their evil, and call them to repentance, if at all possible. Basically, every new level of loss that we allow them to fall to is a loss for us too. Even if it comes to a civil war, we’ll win, but it’ll still be a loss for the country as a whole.

It’s like we’re at the final chess match to win a championship series. They’ve lost their queen, and all their pawns are blocked. It’s mate in two and we both know it. And they’ve just picked up their king and flung it at our head, out of sheer spite.

The ideal outcome here is for us to not overreact - to remain calm and take our win, even if our head is bleeding. But we must still protect ourselves: the officials tasked with security should restrain our opponent, and we have to watch out that he doesn’t flip the whole table onto us. And if things escalate to that point, we might need to help in restraining our opponent - or even punch him out cold if we see him pull out a knife. But these are not ideal outcomes. We want to remain calm and de-escalate our opponent, while simultaneously protecting ourselves and stopping any further violence from them.

And above all, we must not become hateful or violent ourselves. That is the one thing that can actually cost us the win that Charlie has already won for us. Things may go bad and some escalation of violence may be necessary, but even then we must use the minimal violence needed under the maximum sanction of the law and moral goodness. After all, we have no reason to escalate before our enemies, because we’re basically guaranteed victory at every level already, as I have described above.

So overall - we’re going to win. We’ve in fact already won. But we still need to remain calm and protect ourselves. We must constrain our enemy’s evil and call them to repentance. And lastly, we must not become hateful or violent ourselves. I can’t say exactly how bad things will get, but following these prescriptions will give us the best chances at minimizing harm while guaranteeing our victory.
